So yes, using Word would eliminate any mystique from Pages, and CreateSpace may find the document more compliant with its input expectations. Such is life.No version of Pages is a Word clone, and Apple offers no apology, or guarantee that exporting (translation) to Word is entirely accurate, or even intelligible to CreateSpace. So funny to me people sure can take the time to b***h about stuff and how it doesn't work and its no good but they can't spare even a second to see if they are actually installing what they think it is they are installing.
LOL Unfortunate title of this item but just reading even just the first line of what you are putting on your computer would solve all your issues. This catalog enables you to browse what extensions are available and click to download and install them so of course its seems like a a huge downgrade dude, you don't have any extensions installed. There's far too many and some people may not want some features. You don't download this and automatically all the extensions are installed.
So for those of you hesitating to download this because of the reviewers talking about it being a "huge downgrade" from Open Office 3.0 and that "I started typing and realized my spelling wasn't being checked" etc and to the reviewers that wrote those reviews -.if you'll read the first line of the description of what it is you are installing you'll see that Apache OpenOffice Extensions is "The official catalog of Apache OpenOffice extensions."
